Our Legal Assist product provides you with legal assistance and advice when you need it most.
Most South Africans have all sorts of insurance - life cover, household and car insurance, medical aid, etc - all of which are very expensive and cost hundreds of rands per month.
What if you had a problem/dispute with one of your insurance companies? You get legal advice right? Well, will you be able to afford R1000 per hour attorneys? If so, do you know which attorney to go to? Who is the best attorney to deal with your particular matter?
Did you ever have a dispute with someone at home or at work and wished you could get a lawyer to inform you what your rights are? Now you have the opportunity to let us provide you with a lawyer 24 hours per day 7 days per week who can provide you with the legal advice you need.
The legal services are provided in most of South Africa’s official languages & standard documentation can be provided to the member at no cost eg. Small Claims Court Kit, Domestic Workers Agreement, Standard Will Maintenance Kit, Standard Sales Agreement, etc.
Any South African citizen over the age of 18 years or foreigner who has legal standing in South Africa. The service is only provided in South Africa and only regarding matters which occur in South Africa. The membership covers the main member, spouse/partner and all children under 21.
The Legal Assist subscription is R68 per month. There is a once-off administration fee of R150 which must be paid with the first premium. (A 10% annual increase applies.)
The benefits start after 3 months of the first premium being paid and applies to incidents which happen or originate after the waiting period has expired. At our discretion we may provide you with advice in respect of matters which arose prior to the waiting period expiring.
The member makes a call to our main office number and we will source one of the best lawyers to assist the member within 60 minutes. The lawyer then contacts the member and consults in person, via telephone or video call and then recommends the best course of action to be taken by the member.
In addition to the legal assistance we provide, also enjoy R3000 funeral cover and a free repatriation benefit.
