To allow for inflation, a 10% annual increase is applied to all funeral policy premiums calculated on a compound basis. A 10% annual increase in the cover amount is also applied but increased annually based on the original cover amount. While the 10% increase in the premium is activated every 12 months, the increase in cover is activated every 18 months to allow for the 6 months waiting period in respect of the increased cover amount.
